If you want to view the memo, click <a href=\"https:\/\/learnridge.org\/fr\/healthcare-professionals\/consensus-statements-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ensuring safe patient transfers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Written orders are essential for the provision of safe goal-directed patient care. Remember to provide written transfer orders for ongoing care during transfer to the receiving centre. Please refer to Trauma NB&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/learnridge.org\/fr\/healthcare-professionals\/trauma-patient-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trauma Transfer Checklist<\/a> to help guide the various steps needed as you prepare to safely transfer trauma patients.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>If the patient qualifies, call early!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Any member of the healthcare team can initiate a call to the Trauma line. The Trauma Line is intended for use when patients have injuries or mechanisms noted in the <a href=\"https:\/\/learnridge.org\/fr\/healthcare-professionals\/trauma-patient-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trauma Transfer Guidelines<\/a> AND who present within 24 hours of injury.
